Springtime is a busy time for cow-calf operator Sheila Bowen. She and her husband Jeff run a cattle operation in Glennville, California. She says cattle ranching is in her blood – descending from homesteaders who have been farming or ranching in the Central Valley of California since the 1860s. Together, she says the grandkids make the ranch a seven-generation operation, with three generations of family working together today.
Sheila tells American Cattle News they are busy shipping cattle and moving cattle to higher elevations during this beautiful time of year. Listen to her comments here:
