Farms, agribusinesses and agri-tourism destinations that are open to the public, have a farm stand or are willing to provide educational programming for groups, schools or the public are encouraged to participate in the Jefferson County, NY agri-tourism program – 1000 Islands Farms and Food! The deadline to register is May 25, 2018!
1000 Islands Farms and Food replaces the former 1000 Islands Ag Tour program created by the 1000 Islands International Tourism Council and Jefferson County Economic Development. The former two agencies, along with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County and a committee of agricultural representatives, have redesigned the original ag tour program which was created in 2009. The new program has a new logo, new website, a printed foldout map, and a mobile app. Noteworthy activities and events will be included in social media campaigns.
