During an interview yesterday, American Dairy Coalition reported that President Trump indicated that employees who are currently in the country illegally would be allowed to continue working in the United States even though he is placing a high priority on additional border security.
The President suggested some kind of legal status for immigrant employees could be used so that they can move in and out of the country.
The comments from the President are a clear indicator that Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee’s “AG Act”, which ADC has been working on with the Chairman’s staff over the last 6 months, is a viable tool to ensure an adequate labor force for the dairy, livestock, agriculture and industry.
ADC continues to work with the Chairman on improvements to this bill, which will allow for the certainty immigrant employees need.
