Jerry Effertz, a cow-calf producer from Velva, North Dakota, also serves on the Federation of State Beef Councils to promote the Beef Checkoff. Effertz says now more than ever the beef industry needs to tell its story.
“We’ve been doing this since time began and never before have we’ve been challenged as much with misperceptions.,” Effertz says “It’s not that we aren’t still producing that good product, but we are dealing with a lot of challenges of misinformation.”
