The move to replace California’s milk pricing system with a Federal Order is moving forward this week after Secretary Ross approved a proposed Quota Implementation Plan (QIP) for consideration by producers.
Ballots are reportedly being sent to producers requiring them to vote on the Stand-Alone Quota program. The Stand-Alone Quota Program will only be implemented if California producers also vote to join the Federal Milk Marketing Order system.
