Beef Producers Encouraged To Take Water Survey

NCBA requests your participation in the following 5-minute survey about water quality practices. The anonymous information you submit will help us counter the negative impression by the media and activist groups about beef production’s impact on water quality. We appreciate your participation. More information on the survey is directly below the link. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions.

Listen to comments from NCBA’s Ashley Lyon McDonald:

:

Dear Beef Producer,

Water quality is important to sustainable beef production. Every day beef producers implement practices that improve water quality, reduce nutrients in surface waters, or have positive impacts on water quality through land use and pasture and range management. Some of these practices are encouraged through cost share programs by the USDA, but many others are implemented for a variety of reasons.

To characterize water quality management practices implemented by beef producers and to assist NCBA in their beef sustainability efforts, the following survey has been developed: https://iastate.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_7Wisdj40tE6ksgR. We hope you will take a few minutes to help us in these efforts.

This survey is completely voluntary, anonymous, confidential, and should take less than 10 minutes to complete. You may skip questions that you are not comfortable answering and you may withdraw from participation at any time. Be assured that your responses will not be linked directly to you, as all data will be combined. Futhermore, all responses will be reported in summary form only. There is no risk involved in responding to this survey.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Drs. Dan Loy: dloy@iastate.edu  or Patrick Gunn: pgunn@iastate.edu

Thank you for your commitment to the future of U.S. beef cattle industry!
